Christine Lagarde, minister Economy, Industry and Job, Luke Chatel, Secretary of State charged with Industry and with Consumption, carries word of the government and Herv Novelli, Secretary of State charged with Trade, with Trade, SMES, of Tourism and Services installed on January 31st of this year a working party on the mechanisms of valuable reductions. On the basis of the proposals of the report introduced by the working party on the April 1st, 2008, following measures are envisaged as part of the law of modernisation of economy:

• Fixing by decree of national dates of the beginning of balances, which could take place during five weeks, with possibility of infringement for some tourist or border zones;

• Possibility of two additional weeks of "free" balances, chosen individually by every dealer, on the condition of not ending unless a month of the beginning of the periods of national pays;

• Permission of announcements of valuable reduction for destockage all year long;

• Clarification of exception in the ban of resale at a loss for produces them sold off, as well as for products with quick obsolescence.
